The Raytheon Requirements & Capabilities (R&C) Investment & Customer Excellence (ICE) team is seeking a Business Intelligence Manager to support building and maintaining data models and analysis that provide meaningful insights into market opportunities and customer intelligence that drive strategic direction on Raytheon’s pipeline and product portfolio. The Business Intelligence Manager, reporting to the Associate Director of Pipeline, Investments, and Strategy, is a valued business partner within the Investment & Customer Excellence (ICE) team and interacts with the functional and SBU leadership teams to achieve business objectives. The Business Intelligence Manager will engage with internal partners to understand business strategy, questions and goals while bringing structure to business requests, and translates requirements into a structured data and analysis project approach with projects of various complexities.

The Business Intelligence Manager will serve as a key contributor to the development and enhancement of data models and visualizations, while providing automated reporting capabilities partnering across multiple functional data owners to provide an overall perspective in support of strategic analysis and reviews. The Business Intelligence Manager collects data from various sources, runs statistical analysis and predictive modeling, and then combines these findings into actionable recommendations sharing these recommendations with leadership. Their work is critical for improving daily operations and decision-making in organizations.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a strategic business thinker, team-oriented, proactive, and self-driven, possessing excellent technical knowledge of business intelligence processes, highly proficient problem-solving abilities, solid communication skills, and experience in messaging through all levels.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our primary tools/databases, specifically Microsoft Dynamics CRM (Customer Relationship Management) platform ERPM (Enterprise Raytheon Pipeline Manager) to drive R&C strategic and operational objectives
  • Manage projects and initiatives within Requirements & Capabilities (R&C) partnering across functions in areas related to market, pipeline, customer, and product intelligence
  • Collect, clean, and analyze large and complex datasets translating into simple, intuitive reports and visualizations for leadership ensuring accuracy, consistency, and data quality in all outputs
  • Influence and collaborate with matrixed teams, functional peers, and leadership.
  • Develop and implement new or improved processes and tools to enhance reporting and analysis for the business
  • Provide ad-hoc assistance, analysis, and reporting as requested by management and team
  • Collaborate with RTX Global Government Relations (GGR) at the Federal, State/Local on Public Policy in their advocation and development of new technologies and our solutions

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or a related field and minimum of 8 years of data analytics and/or business intelligence experience, or an Advanced Degree and minimum of 5 years of experience
  • 5+ years of experience collecting, organizing, analyzing, and disseminating significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
  • 5+ years of experience in applying database concepts and data querying languages (i.e., SQL) in data analysis formulating key insights and representing in various and impactful visualizations (i.e., Tableau, PowerBI, Excel)
  • Experience preparing and delivering visualizations and internal presentations that translate analytic insights into tangible, actionable solutions for business partners to implement
  • Experience leading and managing complex and strategic projects with cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders while communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
