Purpose of Role: The Business Development Manager (Central Asia) is responsible for identifying and developing major capital equipment opportunities across Kazakhstan, Georgia, and Armenia. This role manages the full sales process for complex projects, working closely with local sales teams, consultants, and key accounts. The position requires strategic engagement from early project stages through to contract signing, ensuring alignment with Weir’s commercial and technical priorities. Collaboration and cross-functional teamwork are central to delivering successful outcomes in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:
Identify, develop, and convert major capital sales opportunities across mining and mineral processing sectors, building and managing long-term opportunity pipelines.
Lead customer engagement from early project stages through proposal and contract signing, ensuring structured early-stage involvement and strategic alignment.
Coordinate cross-functional bid teams and maintain accurate CRM records, providing forecasting and supporting integrated solutions for multi-product projects.
Achieve or exceed financial targets, including margins, profitability, working capital, and EBITDA.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:
Higher technical degree in mining, hydraulics, metallurgy, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years’ experience selling mining and mineral processing solutions internationally, with a strong understanding of capital project cycles.
Proven ability to create integrated technical and commercial solutions, and manage complex stakeholder networks, including consultants, EPCs, and internal bid teams.
Solid knowledge of industrial areas including technology, mechanics, electrical engineering, and automated control systems.
Must be permanently authorised to work in the country to which you are applying, without sponsorship.
