The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving growth and development within the agency by focusing on both advisor and leader development. This includes increasing the number of new Agency Leaders (ALs), enhancing the onboarding process, executing coaching sessions, and leading recruitment activities. The role also involves monitoring and tracking the performance of agency leaders and actively working to grow the number of active agents through structured learning sessions. The Business Development Manager plays a critical role in aligning agency operations with the company’s strategic goals and fostering a culture of professionalism and continuous improvement.

Position Responsibilities:

Agency Training and Capability Development

  • Develop and implement the onboarding programs to ensure seamless integration of new Advisors and Leaders into the organization.
  • Ensure agency training and competence requirements for existing Advisors and Leaders are fulfilled.
  • Create and execute programs aimed at enhancing the skills and productivity of Advisors, particularly focusing on “moving the middle” to elevate overall agent performance.
  • Conduct structured work week learning sessions to grow the number of active agents.

Agency Program Implementation

  • Increase the number of new Advisors and Agency Leaders in the area by effectively utilizing the company’s recruitment programs.
  • Oversee the induction and onboarding process for new Advisors and Leaders, ensuring a seamless transition into their roles.
  • Implement effective programs, strategies, and action plans to increase the count of active agents within the zone.
  • Act as the lead for recruitment activities, ensuring a robust pipeline of potential leaders and advisors.
  • Implement and support company initiatives aimed at enhancing leader and advisor productivity.

Performance Management:

  • Monitor and track the performance of Advisors and Agency Leaders, providing feedback and strategies for improvement.
  • Execute coaching call-outs to support agency leaders and advisors in achieving their targets.
  • Assist the Zone Head in executing programs, activities, campaigns, and sessions to effectively activate Rookie Advisors and Leaders and ensure their successful integration into the organization.

Sales Support and Administration

  • Analyze performance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Zone Head and other stakeholders to ensure alignment and execution of all programs related to agent activation and productivity.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to agents to foster their growth and success within the organization.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Administration, Management, or related field
  • Two years or more of relevant experience in sales agency management, preferably in a life insurance setting
  • Experience in key positions relevant to the job requirements
