The Business Development Intern is designed to be a launchpad, mirroring the responsibilities of our Inside Sales team. You will work in a fast-paced, team-selling atmosphere, collaborating closely with co-workers, National Sales Managers, and regional sales teams.
As a Business Development Intern, you will learn the fundamentals of the sales process. You'll be responsible for supporting our customer engagement efforts, learning how to identify, develop, and document potential sales opportunities (leads). Supporting the sales team in helping coordinating

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: Currently pursuing their bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, Engineering, or a related field.

Travel: 0-5%

Work Schedule: This position works between the hours of 7 AM and 5 PM, Monday- Friday. Ability to work a flexible schedule is necessary.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support Sales Assist the sales team in delivering exceptional customer service and learn the processes that drive sales growth.
  • Customer Interaction: Learn to respond promptly and effectively to customer inquiries via phone and email, shadowing the team to ensure a positive and efficient conclusion.• 
  • Problem-Solving: Gain exposure to identifying and addressing customer issues, helping the team lead them to a timely resolution.
  • Product Knowledge: Develop a foundational understanding of our products and their applications to assist customers effectively.
  • Customer Intelligence: Utilizing various tools to generate and deliver back to the team’s detailed report on our target consumer base.
  • CRM Management: Gain hands-on experience with Salesforce (or a similar CRM) by accurately logging customer interactions and maintaining detailed records of inquiries, orders, and resolutions.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, including sales managers, technical support, and logistics, to understand how to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Relationship Building: Observe and assist in building strong relationships with existing and potential clients by understanding their needs and how we present suitable solutions.
  • Proactive Outreach: Help with identifying potential customers that outreach has not happened with recently.
