About this role
As the Business Continuity and Resilience Lead, you will play a critical role in strengthening nib’s Business Continuity & Resilience framework. This role will lead enterprise-wide initiatives enhancing governance of critical operations, business continuity management, disaster recovery, and material service provider vendor risk management, ensuring compliance with APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management standard and other related standards and guidance across the group.
Working with business and technical stakeholders as the ‘point of contact’ for business continuity activities that span multiple functional areas. You will work in consultation with Risk Managers, IT, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders to transform, mature and embed nib’s business continuity and resilience framework, systems and tools.
About you
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Business Continuity & Resilience Lead to strengthen our organisation’s preparedness and response capability. You’ll bring a relevant tertiary qualification and/or experience in business resilience, business continuity, or operational risk management, with a strong grasp of key frameworks such as APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management and CPS 234 Information Security, ISO 22301 Business Continuity and BCI Good Practice Guide.
You’ll excel at building relationships, collaborating with stakeholders, and working autonomously to solve problems, make informed decisions, and escalate when needed. With strong strategic thinking, attention to detail, and excellent organisational skills, you’ll drive initiatives that enhance resilience and business continuity across the organisation.
Desired skills:
Experience or certification in Project Management
Work management applications (Jira, Confluence etc)
Experience working in an APRA regulated environment and/or familiarity with the APRA CPS 230 Operational Risk Management standard
A working understanding of contemporary IT related frameworks, methodologies and standards
Exposure to the health insurance or health care industry
Comfortable navigating and working with GRC systems
