Business Analytics Senior Analyst – Evernorth

Role Summary:

The Business Analytics Senior Analyst role focuses on technical execution of the Evernorth Business Analytics and Data Solution Team’s data and analytics roadmap. You will become a subject matter expert on our Sales and Account Management technology stack, the underlying data, and its architecture. This role blends technical expertise with strategic insight to drive data integrity, scalability, and actionable intelligence across the organization.

 

Responsibilities:

This role will focus on two primary competencies: data management and insights delivery.

 

Data Management:

  • Contribute to the design and development of data pipelines and reporting layers that serve as the single source of truth for Evernorth Sales data.
  • Write efficient, maintainable SQL and Python code in a collaborative Git/GitHub environment.
  • Implement secure and compliant data sharing practices aligned with internal firewall policies and business sensitivities.

 

Insights Delivery:

  • Analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights.
  • Design and maintain intuitive Tableau dashboards that support business decision-making.
  • Build and deploy end-user applications using Alteryx to streamline data access and usability.

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in data management, including hands-on SQL and Python development in a collaborative environment.
  • 2+ years of experience with business intelligence tools (Tableau preferred).
  • Strong grasp of data governance, quality assurance, and DRY (Don’t Repeat Yourself) coding principles.
  • Strong communications skills with ability to present complex data insights effectively.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt quickly to evolving business needs.
  • Demonstrated skill in simplifying complex datasets and delivering actionable insights.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience integrating APIs using Python and designing scalable data ingestion workflows.
  • Experience with Alteryx as an application and integration tool (e.g., building interactive applications for end users on a server).
  • Self-starter with a track record of owning tasks end-to-end—from problem exploration to solution delivery.
  • High level of initiative, resilience, and a growth mindset when facing challenges or learning new tools and processes.
