About your team
The Investment Solutions and Services (ISS) Technology team is responsible for the design and delivery of all the technology solutions that come under Investment Solutions and Services which is comprised of Asset Management Operations, Investment Management and Distribution. We are responsible for the technology, operation, governance, and oversight of the ISS businesses including managing change, risk, and regulatory issues. Our teams play an integral role in the development and delivery of strategies as well as supporting the Corporate Enabler teams which include Finance, the Chief People Office, and General Council. Technology is evolving faster than ever and so are the skills needed to keep pace with the changes. About your role
The Senior Business Analyst will support portfolio management change on the Charles River platform, with a particular emphasis on FX Management. Due Project demands in 2026, there is a significant change agenda, so there will be an opportunity from day one to make an impact. You will be expected perform the following:
Project Execution
- Provide input into project timelines, estimation, action plans and risk management procedures.
- Ensure timely completion of work packages in line with project deadline and schedule.
- Act as a proxy customer facilitating open communication between the customer and development teams.
Requirements Planning and Management
- Work with Project Managers and Business Sponsors to agree on the Terms of Reference
- Ensure that all Stakeholders have a common understanding of what is being delivered.
- Ensure the set of High-Level Requirements proposed during assessment are still valid.
- Be self-sufficient in identifying and understanding business requirement/issues.
- Identify & escalate as appropriate, issues & instances where an agreed target or deadline is at risk or will not be met.
Requirements Analysis and Documentation
- Form part of the conversation with the FX Trading & Order Generation functions on their target operating model.
- Capture target business processes and carry out gap analysis.
- Identify requirements effectively and efficiently.
- Produce different forms of analysis documentation to an appropriate and agreed level of depth.
- Deliver presentation or workshop sessions on requirements to stakeholder groups.
- Regularly review and edit requirements, specifications, business processes, estimates and recommendations relating to the proposed solution, to ensure they are up to date throughout the life cycle of the project.
- Embedding (e.g. Testing, Training, Support, Process Re-engineering etc.)
- Support the Test function with knowledge that aids test scripting & execution, including handovers & walkthroughs.
- Work with the Test team to define defects, acceptable tolerances within various types of testing.
About you
Your key skills and experience will include:
- Fund and Client FX knowledge is essential.
- Exceptional knowledge of Charles River configuration, database structure and internal processes.
- Knowledge of the Fidelity implementation of Charles River a bonus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of EMS platforms.
- Extensive business analysis experience with good attention to detail and ability to illicit unstated requirements
- Self-starter mentality essential
- Must be able to work effectively as part of a team and build strong working relationships with other teams.
- Strong senior management level communication, client management and influencing skills.
- Strong customer awareness and business focus
- Ability to analyse complex problems in a structured manner whilst working under pressure.
- Proven experience with identifying and mitigating risk from change.
- Possesses excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Natural confidence, drive, and enthusiasm, with the ability to impart a sense of urgency to the respective business, operational and technology delivery teams.
- Knowledge of Agile methodologies
- Experience working and delivering in a global environment.
- Experience working successfully with Investment, Distribution, Operations and Business Change functions in large organisations.
- Experience of working with Jira, Confluence and LeanIX tools beneficial but not mandatory
