Role Purpose:
Gartner Conferences is looking for a highly motivated Business Analyst to help define and deliver our conference technology roadmap. In this role, you’ll be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams to understand their goals, document the business requirements and drive the execution of that strategy with internal and external development resources. You must have a customer centric focus, technical knowledge deep enough to partner effectively with development resources, and above average communication, facilitation, and persuasion skills.
What you will do:
Partnering closely with the Product Owner(s) on one or more products to write high quality user stories explaining business problems.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive projects and business process improvements.
Documenting a detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities, and solutions for the business.
Performing GAP analysis of business rules, and system process flows.
Streamlining process of reporting system related issues.
Translating business & technology strategies into detailed requirements and deliverables.
Interacting with conference attendees and Gartner associates to troubleshoot challenges remotely and onsite at conferences globally.
What you will need:
Education: Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Experience: 1-3 years of business analysis and project management experience.
Exceptional problem-solving capabilities: Able to solve complex problems, thinking creatively, and using data to tell a story.
Drive / Passion: You are passionate about the experience and delivering uncompromising quality. Self-motivated & accountable, with a high level of commitment to responsibility.
Communication skills: You’re an excellent verbal and written communicator capable of eliciting client and stakeholder feedback and documenting clear requirements.
Leadership: You’ve demonstrated a proven track record of driving continuous product improvements ranging from bug fixes to new features and deliverables. Action-oriented and driven to achieve results and build trust with both business partners and internal developers.
Influence: You must demonstrate a high level of collaboration and strong negotiation skills.
Organization skills: Extremely organized with strong time-management skills.
Travel: Willing to travel onsite approximately 10-15% to conferences, domestic and regional.
