About the role

Business Analyst

At AGL, we’re leveraging best-in-class technology to anticipate, meet, and exceed our customers’ needs—delivering seamless experiences and a competitive edge. By harnessing data, decisioning, and marketing automation, we’re building a Customer Engagement Engine (CEE) that enables meaningful conversations at scale and drives improved customer and commercial outcomes.  As part of our Customer Value Optimisation (CVO) Value Stream, you’ll join a dynamic delivery team responsible for planning, prioritising, and operating this enterprise-scale platform. We’re looking for a Business Analyst who thrives in an agile environment and can take end-to-end accountability for analysis, shaping activities, and scrum master duties.

What you’ll be doing

  • Act as the primary link between stakeholders and the CVO Value Stream to elicit, analyse, and document requirements.

  • Collaborate with Business Delivery Leads, MarTech squads, and Campaign Owners to deliver customer communications and campaign changes efficiently.

  • Facilitate workshops and discussions with stakeholders, SMEs, and vendors to define objectives, impacts, and requirements.

  • Define minimum viable products while balancing functionality, architecture, and user experience; maintain process integrity across systems.

  • Capture detailed requirements with acceptance criteria, ensure quality delivery, and manage risks, issues, dependencies, and documentation.

  • Lead analysis and shaping activities for campaigns and own team rituals as Scrum Master (stand-ups, retrospectives, kick-offs).

What we’re looking for

  • Demonstrated experience within delivery or similar roles, collaborating with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Designers, Developers, Testers).

  • Strong communication, analytical/problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Skilled in eliciting, analysing, and documenting complex requirements; translating technical concepts for non-technical audiences.

  • High attention to detail with knowledge of regulatory compliance for direct marketing; proactive and able to work independently.

  • Continuous learning mindset; desirable experience with PEGA, Adobe, or similar platforms, plus utilities industry and marketing delivery exposure.

At AGL, we offer a wide range of benefits including:

  • Flexible working options, including hybrid work, plus additional leave benefits (20 weeks paid parental leave and one week recharge leave).

  • Discounts and perks: energy, telco, solar plans, novated leasing, EV subscriptions, insurance deals, and share purchase plan.

  • Career and culture: reward & recognition program, study assistance, and active involvement in diversity & inclusion initiatives.

*Benefits may change over time and vary based on role type and location.
