Overview

The BitMEX Product team manages the full product range on the BitMEX platform.  This includes responsibilities for maintaining the existing range of products, optimising the existing product mix through data driven decisions and designing and rolling out new products aimed at increasing and diversifying our client base and revenues.  

The Institutional Business Development team is responsible for the coverage and growth of Institutional clients, identifying new business opportunities, conducting competitive market analysis and enhancing the BitMEX brand in the institutional space.

The Business Administrator will provide dedicated, high-impact administrative and strategic support to the Product and Institutional Business Development team leads, reporting to the Head of Product and Institutional Business Development. This pivotal role requires a highly organised, professional, and strategically-minded individual who can ensure seamless operations, drive accountability, and facilitate cross-functional communication and coordination within a fast-paced, global environment

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Head of Product and Institutional Business Development in the development and execution of longer-term team strategies
  • Prepare and refine high-quality reports and presentations for internal management, Exco, and customer consumption, covering key metrics, product performance, and business development initiatives.
  • Organise, schedule, and coordinate internal and external meetings, including the preparation of agendas and distribution of materials.
  • Act as a liaison and coordinator for projects and initiatives across both teams, ensuring clarity on scope, plan, and timeline.
  • Track team progress on key deliverables (e.g., product launches and strategic growth initiatives) and hold all team members accountable for their commitments.
  • Coordinate the flow of information and expedite interactions between the Product and Institutional Business Development teams and functional verticals.
  • Assist in the day-to-day management of certain processes, such as monitoring liquidity, aisles commission tracking and coordinating market maker incentives.
  • Manage and coordinate internal communication at varying levels of seniority, ensuring all global stakeholders are aligned.
  • Interface effectively between business teams, technology teams, and control functions (Legal, Compliance) to ensure the timely completion of priorities.
  • Act as a professional and influential representative of the team Heads, capable of navigating organisational hierarchy and engaging confidently in conversations with senior leadership.
  • Assist with the preparation and distribution of regular communications for institutional clients.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the BitMEX trading platform, current and future product/service offerings, and their impact on the client base.
  • Clearly articulate the BitMEX value proposition, maintain a current awareness of industry-related developments and competitive landscapes.
  • Suggest and implement process enhancements to boost team efficiency and elevate client coverage quality.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of work experience with time in the financial services industry within or supporting Sales, Structuring or Product teams.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales KPIs and successfully expanding client bases.
  • Existing relationships within the cryptocurrency industry are highly desirable, but not required
  • Proficiency with spreadsheet and presentation software is required.  Data visualisation and CRM system experience will be valuable.
  • Experience of managing electronic trading relationships with the target client group is strongly preferred
  • Understanding of digital currencies and a genuine passion for the crypto space.
  • Trading experience with Bitcoin or other digital asset classes is preferred
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to engage professionally with clients and within an organisation
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues and resolve them cross-functionally
  • Enjoy networking and building rapport in professional settings
  • An entrepreneurial mentality with a strong sense of personal accountability and ownership
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and excel with limited direction
