Position Title: Business Administration Coordinator – QLD Family Violence Services
Department: Family Violence
Location: Caloundra, Sunshine Coast
Classification: SCHADS Level 4
Status: Part Time – 22.8 hours per week
Why this role matters
The Salvation Army (Salvos) provides a wide range of services that support women and women with children impacted by family and domestic violence. We offer accommodation, counselling, support, behavioural programs, and advice to women and children at risk of, experiencing or escaping family violence. Our services focus on prevention, restoration, and healing to provide specialised support to address immediate safety issues and provide advice, referrals, and connection to assist the recovery journey.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Business Administration Coordinator to support the Queensland Family Violence Services (FVS) team.
This role provides vital administrative and operational support to the Regional Manager and Leadership Team, ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of business operations across the Family Violence portfolio.
The Queensland Family Violence Services deliver a range of programs supporting victim-survivor adults and children through refuge, housing, outreach, and therapeutic services. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining effective systems and processes that enable the delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed services in alignment with The Salvation Army’s mission, values, and policies.
This position is based at Caloundra but travel to Noosa will be required, along with remote supports across QLD.
How You Will Make an Impact
Administration & Coordination
Provide a broad range of administrative and operational support to the Regional Manager and Leadership Team.
Ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Queensland Family Violence Services office.
Maintain effective communication across the division and produce accurate, high-quality correspondence, reports, and documentation.
Manage finance-related records including fleet management, voucher dissemination, and accounts payable preparation.
Support the coordination of meetings, events, and internal communications.
Maintain and audit staff and client files to ensure compliance, confidentiality, and accuracy.
Manage mail, calls, and enquiries efficiently, ensuring urgent matters are prioritised and confidentiality maintained.
Team & Process Management
Coordinate processes across stream managers to ensure consistency in administration and compliance practices.
Implement systems that strengthen communication, workflow, and handover between staff.
Support team capability development initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service delivery.
What You Will Bring
Relevant qualification in Business Administration (Certificate IV or Diploma level).
Experience in the Not-for-Profit and/or Family Violence sector (highly regarded).
Strong research, analytical, and documentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities — both written and verbal — with the capacity to engage effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Current Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
Current QLD Driver’s Licence.
Ability to provide evidence of qualifications.
