The Maintenance Authorization Coordinator plays a critical role in managing daily fleet operations by coordinating driver assignments and vehicle movements across multiple locations. This position serves as the central point of contact for dispatching drivers on both the car rental and truck rental sides of the business, ensuring efficient fleet distribution to meet customer demand and operational requirements.
What You'll Do:
Dispatch drivers for Avis (car side) operations, and dispatch drivers for Budget (truck side) operations
Use Palantir Foundry platform for fleet movement coordination and ensure timely fleet distribution to/from LM (License) stores and major airports
Collaborate with transportation project managers (TPMs), district managers (DMs), and drivers
Meet fleet demands according to established timelines
Coordinate out-of-service vehicle pickups (windshield damage EMS issues, tires, body damage)
Manage wholesale (WS) and trade-back (TB) vehicle movements
Handle corporate fleet demand requests
Order tow truck services as requested by TPMs and Installation Officers (IOs)
Enter daily game plans into the system
Provide end-of-day reports on completed tasks and carryover items
Perform other duties and special assignments as required to support fleet operations
Adapt to changing priorities and urgent requests in a fast-paced environment

Professional phone and communication skills needed
This position requires regular, on-site presence and cannot be performed remotely
Technical School Degree preferred
Computer skills, including Excel spreadsheet knowledge preferred
