Job Description:
The ESPN Brand Marketing team is responsible for upholding ESPN’s industry-leading and most beloved sports brand, by executing marketing plans that speak to the hearts and minds of fans. The group is comprised of six areas:
- ESPN’s Streaming marketing and Product marketing strategies and implementations
- Brand marketing campaigns, such as This is SportsCenter, Tap In, One App. One Tap., There’s No Place Like Sports
- ESPN’s Fantasy Sports portfolio and ESPN BET Sportsbook
- Original content (including the iconic 30 for 30 series, ESPN Original Series, and E:60)
- Consumer Products and ESPN Licensing
- ESPN Audio including the ESPN Radio Network and ESPN Podcasts
The Brand Marketing Coordinator at ESPN plays a pivotal role in supporting the development and execution of integrated marketing campaigns aimed at enhancing ESPN's brand presence and Direct to Consumer growth. Working closely with the rest of the Brand Marketing team, this role involves collaborating across various departments to ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all channels. The ideal candidate is a creative thinker, detail-oriented, and possesses a strong understanding of sports and popular culture. This position is in New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the creation and implementation of comprehensive brand marketing campaigns that align with ESPN's strategic objectives and resonate with the target audience.
- Coordinate marketing activities, including events, promotions, sponsorships, and partnerships, ensuring seamless execution and brand consistency.
- Contribute to the development of marketing materials, including presentations, promotional elements, and digital content.
- Conduct market research and analyze consumer trends to identify opportunities for brand growth and engagement.
- Collaborate with internal teams (creative, digital, social media, and content) to develop and produce high-quality marketing assets.
- Assist in tracking and analyzing the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Support the Brand Marketing Director in managing relationships with external agencies, vendors, and partners, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in brand marketing and sports entertainment.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 6 months’ experience in Direct to Consumer, Brand or Sports Marketing.
- Passion for Marketing and the sports fan.
- Experience executing Marketing campaigns with a focus on acquisition, retention, and engagement with proven results.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Interest in the changing landscape of sports media.
- Comfortable analyzing data in collaboration with Research teams.
- Great teammate with strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Comfortable in an ever-changing environment in which priorities change quickly.
- Subject matter expert when it comes to the Sports and Media industry.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Marketing, Business, or a related field

The hiring range for this position in New York, NY is $56,600 to $75,900 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
