Job Summary: About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at Anniston Army Depot, Alabama. This position serves as Blocker and Bracer Leader leading blocking and bracing operations, assigning tasks, enforcing safety, inspecting work for compliance, and securing munitions using hand and power tools.

Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Blocker and Bracer Leader without more than normal supervision: assigning tasks, enforcing safety procedures, and using hand and power tools to construct dunnage and secure munitions for transport. I work under normal supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed. - Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability to Interpret Instructions, Specifications, etc. (Other Than Blueprint Reading) Ability to Lead or Supervise Ability to Use and Maintain Tools and Equipment Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, and Repair, etc. Knowledge of Materials Measurement and Layout Technical Practices (Theoretical, Precise, Artistic) Work Practices (Including Keeping Things Neat, Clean, and in Order) The work requires heavy, strenuous tiring work for prolonged periods. Incumbent continuously lifts, carries, and positions extremely heavy items using jacks, levers or assistance from other workers. Work requires standing, stooping, reaching and other uncomfortable working positions. Often works in cramped or awkward positions and may have to climb upon or crawl under vehicles or structures. Work is performed both inside and outside and the incumbent is frequently exposed to disagreeable heat, coldness, dampness, wind, rain, noise, possible cuts from power tools, handling lumber, spiking, nailing, and other work. There is exposure to nose and lung irritation from dust and sawdust. Often exposed to injury from falling objects, falls in and around conveyances, or vehicle/pedestrian accidents. There is exposure to skin and eye irritation from wood treatment chemicals. Must wear protective eyeglasses, a face shield, protective ear devices, gloves, hard hats, steel-toed safety shoes, or other protective equipment.
