Job Summary
The Registered Nurse (RN) delivers patient care across the lifespan, following the Kentucky Nursing Laws and organizational policies. Using the nursing process, the RN ensures quality outcomes and actively participates in shared governance to promote a healthy practice environment.
Guided by national nursing standards, the RN applies critical thinking and clinical judgment in collaboration with the inter-professional team. The RN supports lifelong learning and professional development while using the nursing process as the foundation for care.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
1. Performs assessment/reassessment
2. Develops plan of care utilizing appropriate evidence based standards of care.
3. Provides care consistent with policies, procedures, current evidence based professional standards of practice and Baptist Health Louisville’s nursing mission, vision, values and model of care.
4. Evaluates patient response to treatment
5. Applies critical thinking, clinical reasoning, organizational and leadership skills.
Minimum Requirements
Active Kentucky RN License
