Job Summary:
Eli Lilly Kinsale Limited is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic undergraduate engineering student to join our team as a Biotech Utility Undergraduate Engineer. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the critical utility systems supporting biopharmaceutical manufacturing within a world-leading pharmaceutical company.
Job Responsibilities:
* Assist in the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of various utility systems, including purified water, clean steam, compressed air, and HVAC systems, ensuring their reliable operation for biotech manufacturing processes.
* Support engineers in analyzing utility data, identifying trends, and recommending improvements for efficiency and reliability.
* Participate in the calibration and verification activities of utility instrumentation.
* Document utility system performance, maintenance activities, and operational parameters in accordance with GxP standards.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and facilities, to support utility-related initiatives.
* Contribute to the development and revision of standard operating procedures (SOPs) for utility operations and maintenance.
* Assist in the planning and execution of small-scale utility improvement projects.
* Learn and adhere to all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Qualifications:
* Currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
* Demonstrated strong academic performance.
* Basic understanding of fundamental engineering principles.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Prior experience or coursework related to utility systems, biopharmaceutical manufacturing, or GxP environments is a plus but not required.
* Ability to commit to the duration of the internship/co-op program.
