About this Position

ChristianaCare is searching for a Benefits Coordinator to be responsible for the day-to-day administration and support of employee benefits programs. This role serves as a key point of contact for caregivers (active and retirees) and their dependents and also ensures a positive experience by providing timely and accurate information and by resolving benefit-related issues.

Principal duties and responsibilities:

  • Respond to and resolve caregiver benefit inquiries, issues and concerns in a timely fashion.
  • Handle cases in Service Now system and assist the Caregiver Service Center to close cases in a timely manner.
  • Utilize knowledge base system to research and give accurate information and assist caregivers in making informed benefit choices.
  • Assist caregivers with onboarding, offboarding, enrollments, and changes related to benefits.
  • Attend and assist with in-person benefits events (Benefits Fairs, New Hire Orientation, etc).
  • Maintain accurate caregiver benefit records in WorkDay by performing audits to ensure that data recorded and entered is accurate, timely and made according to internal procedures.
  • Work with third-party vendor partners to address enrollment errors, eligibility issues and claims concerns.
  • Support the communication of annual open enrollment.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations (e.g., ERISA, HIPAA, ACA, COBRA).

Education and experience requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent or higher relevant education required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Two years’ experience in benefits related field.
  • Three years’ experience in general office work requiring analysis and judgment in processing data according to policy, procedure and practices.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Hourly Pay Range: $25.52 - $38.28

This pay rate/range represents ChristianaCare’s good faith and reasonable estimate of compensation at the time of posting. The actual salary within this range offered to a successful candidate will depend on individual factors including without limitation skills, relevant experience, and qualifications as they relate to specific job requirements.
