KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Provides strategic planning, program development, labor management, and overall operational administration of the department.
Effectively directs team members in a manner consistent with ThedaCare policies and values. Ensures the recruitment and retention of competent team members to meet the needs of the business operations of the department.
Oversees and ensures accuracy of time and attendance and payroll practices.
Directs the health and welfare, wellness, and retirement benefit portfolio including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, wellness, EAP, 403(b), 457(b) and (f) plans, and frozen retirement plans.
Provides leadership and support to HRSC including service center processes, policies, and procedures for operational efficiencies and improved customer service experience.
Is responsible for the timely and accurate filings for qualified plans, IRS and ERISA mandated submissions, and employee communications including IRS Annual Return-Form 5500, Summary Annual Reports (SARs), ACA reporting/1095s and Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs).
Maintains vendor and broker relationships including outsourcing to ensure fulfillment of benefit and HRSC administration.
Monitors competitive trends in the industry and proposes recommendations for new benefits and program design.
Develops techniques for compiling, preparing, and presenting data to executive leadership for areas of responsibility.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field; and 5 years of related experience
9 years of progressively responsible experience performing the above and related duties;
An equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Ability to move freely (standing, stooping, walking, bending, pushing, and pulling) and lift up to a maximum of twenty-five (25) pounds without assistance
Job classification is not exposed to blood borne pathogens (blood or bodily fluids) while performing job duties
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
Climate controlled office setting with daily movement throughout the facility
Interaction with department members and other healthcare providers
