Position Summary:
The Giants Baseball Operations Fellow opportunity is designed to help recent graduates as well as those already employed in the sports (or relevant) industry to take the next step in their career. Daily the Baseball Operations Fellow will help provide administrative support for Baseball Operations needs including but not limited to Major League administration, Amateur, International and Pro Scouting, Major League advance, and other areas as needed. We are looking for someone who is hungry, enjoys organization and research, has a passion for baseball or softball and is eager to learn.
 
Timeline: The application and placement process are designed to allow graduating college seniors and recent graduates to begin work at a Club upon graduation (i.e., June 1, 2026).
 
Position Responsibilities:
·         Provide general support for important events throughout the Baseball calendar, including(but not limited to):Arbitration, Spring Training, Major League Regular Season, Amateur Draft, Trade Deadline, Free Agency, Rule 5 draft, International Amateur Signing Period
·         Conduct research and analysis as directed, including using internal data base sets, web-based research and analysis using Google Suite, Excel, Big Query, SQL, or other tools at your disposal
·         Help prepare advance scouting reports for every Major League series
·         Assist in data entry, cleanup, matching for various projects
·         Provide general administrative support with expenses, shipping, e-filing and other areas as needed
·         Generate daily reports for distribution within department
·         Supportvideoacquisitionanddistributionwithoccasionaleditingresponsibilitiesfromvariouslevels,includingminorleagues,high school/college, international amateur, NPB and KBO
·         Opportunities to work with staff across baseball operations
 
Skills and Qualifications:
·         Undergraduate degree or higher is required
·         Proficiency in Excel and Google Suites is required
·         Experience with SQL is preferred, working knowledge of python/ R isa plus
·         Experience working with large complex data sets
·         1-2yearsofsportsexperienceispreferredand experience in baseball or softball is a plus
·         Excellent administrative and organizational skills with strong attention to detail
·         Ability to handle confidential matters and information with discretion and diplomacy
·         Excellent communication skills both written and verbal required
·         Excellent work ethic with strong initiative and desire to take on tasks and projects
·         Maintainahighlevelofprofessionalismandpersonalconductinyourworkandinteractionswith staff/players
·         Whennecessary,theabilitytoworknon-traditionalhoursinnon-traditionalsettings,includingweeknightsandweekends
·         Advanced Spanish speaking, conversational or writing skills is a plus.(Please distinguish if Native/Fluent speaker)
·         Experience working with artificial intelligence platforms like Open AI, ElevenLabs, etc. is a plus
 
At the San Francisco Giants, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your background and experience. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We expect the base salary for this position to be in the range of $60,000 to $65,000, and will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience and other factors the San Francisco Giants consider relevant to the hiring decision.
