This position involves ensuring an excellent level of service to designated customers, based on continuous monitoring of their orders and maintaining their order process through to delivery and invoicing. This role is strategic in the day to day operations and helps the decision making for our main customers (speciality gazes, distributors and major customers).
Ensures that orders are received and entered into the system, and communicated internally by the responsible team on schedule.
Communicates all changes to customers on a regular basis. Handle busy incoming telephone and email inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
Ensures rigorous monitoring of orders in progress, back orders and stock-outs, pending issues and provides the necessary visibility to customers, production and logistics teams.
Determines and communicates priorities and customer needs
to production teams.
Controls the entire order process through to invoicing, giving instructions and/or performing tasks in the system.
Ensures accuracy of order data in systems, updates systems and uses existing systems as required. Participates in backorder and critical order management committees, and acts as a team member to fill any necessary gaps.
Required Qualifications:
Diploma: DEC in administration, operations management, logistics, business services. Any relevant experience will be considered.
Knowledge: Computer systems, MS Office, G suite, Oracle (An asset) good
communication skills oral and written.
5 years' experience in customer service and/or distribution sales and/or logistics.
Preferred Qualifications:
Training: Knowledge and training in welding products an asset, transportation of
hazardous materials, team supervision.
