Credit Team decisions credit actions across the lifecycle of a customer – from acquisition to account management to collections and recover – we work towards managing credit and fraud losses and elevating customer experience through powerful and proprietary insights on customer risk and credit behaviours. Role Summary/Purpose:
As a AVP, Acquisition Risk Infrastructure , Acquisitions Infrastructure team, you will have the opportunity to work on major business initiatives that contribute to SYF’s growth and productivity objectives. In this role, you will have the responsibility of managing and Hands-on on multiple Acquisitions strategy implementation assignments supporting the Acquisition function & will work directly with the business, IT and strategy teams in catering to the end-to-end implementation needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee the flawless implementation of all rule engine modifications, ensuring robust controls and governance while adhering to timely deliverables without fail.
Manage multiple projects by coordinating with cross-functional teams to guarantee seamless execution.
Engage in strategic discussions and contribute to enhancements in process automation and efficiency.
Serve as a liaison between technical teams, Strategy Development, and Strategy Delivery.
Assist the operational credit team in addressing internal and external audit inquiries.
Develop automation solutions for various processes.
Offer guidance and mentorship to analysts.
Ensure adherence to six sigma principles in strategy development, implementation, and monitoring.
Simultaneously handle several projects of differing complexity and duration.
Actively manage initiatives to uphold stakeholder satisfaction and measure the benefits delivered by projects.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of credit experience, or in lieu of a degree 6+ years of Decision/Rules engine experience in banking domain with SAS & SQL or Python experience.
Handson experience with FicoDMP, OpenL, or any other Decision engine tools.
Proficiency in SAS & SQL or Python for data querying and the creation of automated reports as needed for supplementary monitoring beyond business as usual (BAU).
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of end users.
Competence in conveying technical information clearly and effectively, both in writing and verbally.
Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the acquisition lifecycle for credit cards, installment loans, and commercial cards
Desired Skills/Knowledge:
4+ years of hands-on experience in strategy changes in any of the rule engines preferably in Credit card or lending products
Work Experience in Sql, Oracle DB and its queries execution and in SAS GRID management.
Experience in microservices, Java and REST API development.
Understand requirements and create reports based on adhoc requests.
Postman testing skills and Jira skills are good to have.
R/Tableau etc. are good to have
Strategic thinker; innovative problem solver; self-starter; team player.
Experience with Automation of Processes within the Acquisition lifecycle would be added advantage
Eligibility Criteria:
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of credit experience, or in lieu of a degree 6+ years of Decision/Rules engine experience in banking domain with SAS & SQL or Python experience.
Work Timings: This role qualifies for Enhanced Flexibility and Choice offered in Synchrony India and will require the incumbent to be available between 06:00 AM Eastern Time – 11:30 AM Eastern Time (timings are anchored to US Eastern hours and will adjust twice a year locally). This window is for meetings with India and US teams. The remaining hours will be flexible for the employee to choose. Exceptions may apply periodically due to business needs.
