In order to support "Simulation & Modelling" Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Avionics Infrastructure Engineer (d/f/m)

To strengthen our team, we are currently looking for an Avionics Infrastructure Engineer (d/f/m). Under the supervision of one of our Senior Infrastructure Architects, you will support satellite projects for Earth observation, Telecom business by deploying the environment for the entire functional avionics end-to-end toolchain,provided by our department (functional verification, AIT and OPS).

As an Avionics Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a critical role in various satellite development projects by deploying and maintaining the entire functional avionics end-to-end toolchain and supporting the satellite team with problem analysis and configuration of test
benches and simulators.

Your main tasks in this role include:
- Planning and coordination of IT infrastructure provision for projects FV/AIT
- Coordination / Identification of project specific changes or configurations of different Business Own Tools for FV and AIT

- Evaluation of technical specifications for satellite check-out systems, telemetry and telecommand interface control documents or other space protocols
- Harmonization/coordination of the schedule for the deployment of test benches and automatization tools
- General coordination with the AIT and FA teams of the programs and the product owners for the Business Own Tools
- Automation of the installation and monitoring of Business Own Tools (BOT)
- Validation of the FV/AIT toolchain
- Product First Line Support
- Problem analysis
- Forwarding of issues to Product Owner when identified

Desired skills and qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, aerospace engineering or similar qualification

o Adaptability, able to quickly familiarize and efficiently adjust to new conditions and software technologies
o Familiarity with the satellite development process
o First Experience with database management systems
o First Experience in verification & validation

o Preferably knowledge functional avionics in the space sector
o First Experience with satellite check-out systems is desirable
o Good knowledge of state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and network technologies

o Good knowledge in Git, Linux standard commands, Bash scripting, Python and Java

o Optionally experience with CI/CD (Jenkins) and Ansible

o Good communication skills, a proactive mind-set and the ability to work in an
international environment.
o Experience with collaboration in a multi-disciplinary team and managing interfaces to stakeholders from different backgrounds.
o Experience with development processes and methods in aerospace engineering
