Boeing is seeking a skilled and motivated Aviation Life Support Systems (ALSS) Technician to join our Flight Operations team at Edwards Air Force Base or China Lake, CA. This position will provide critical support for ALSS requirements across multiple military programs, including the F-15, F/A-18, and other current and future platforms. The ideal candidate will be a qualified ALSS technician with military, FAA, or equivalent certification and experience, capable of ensuring the highest standards of safety, maintenance, and operational readiness. This position may also support ALSS requirements at Palmdale, CA. 

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Subject Matter Expert and Senior Level Aviation Life Support Systems Technicians.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform inspection, maintenance, repair, and testing of aviation life support equipment, including flight suits, helmets, oxygen systems, ejection seats, and survival gear

  • Support flight operations by ensuring all ALSS equipment meets regulatory and program-specific requirements

  • Coordinate with flight crews, maintenance teams, and program managers to maintain ALSS readiness and compliance

  • Document and report equipment status, discrepancies, and maintenance actions in accordance with Boeing and military standards

  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians and flight personnel on ALSS procedures and safety protocols

  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of ALSS technical orders, manuals, and regulatory guidance

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance ALSS program effectiveness and safety

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Aviation Life Support Systems Technician Certificate through a U.S. military service, FAA certification, or an equivalent recognized program

  • 5+ years of experience supporting military aviation life support programs, preferably with F-15, F/A-18, and/or similar platform

  • 3+ years of experience in military and FAA aviation safety standards, technical orders, and maintenance procedures

  • Ability to obtain access DoD / Military installations, to include Edwards AFB

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality

  • Proficient in using maintenance tracking systems and standard office software (e.g., MS Office)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Prior experience working in a military or defense contractor environment

  • Familiarity with multiple aircraft types and associated ALSS equipment

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with diverse teams including pilots, maintenance personnel, and management

Summary Pay Range for Subject Matter Expert (Level 4):  $107,100 – $144,900

Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 5):  $129,200 – $174,800
