Automation Engineer

Contributes to the technical delivery of projects that generate new products, processes and understanding which have commercial value to JM. Works independently on specific engineering tasks within required time frame with support available and regular checks by supervisor or senior colleague
  • Identify opportunities for automation within existing processes
  • Support existing automation technology with component and process upgrades.
  • Develop/modify the program in Wonderware SCADA, Wonderware Inbatch Management, Wonderware MES as per internal customer requirements.
  • Developing report from SQL DB to standards report as per requirement 
  • Preparing the calibration schedule for various instruments like Thermocouple, Pressure transducers, Flow meters
  • Maintain the PLC program, SCADA, Robots backups
  • Design and develop interface software applications based on given requirements and specifications
  • Maintain and troubleshoot the problem in various communication protocol like ethernet, device net, Profibus and Modbus
  • Review, repair and redesign legacy codes for recommended machinery
  • Troubleshoot issues for automatic electrical control panel installed systems.
  • Requirement Reviews – Participate in reviews and work with Systems Engineering to ensure

proper implementation of features.
