Athletic Training Assistant

Key Responsibilities:

  • Pre and Post Game/Practice Medical Treatments.
  • Practice/Game Coverage.
  • Transportation for Medical Evaluations and Player Movement.
  • Spring Training, Extend Spring Training, and Florida Complex League Game Coverage.
  • Possible Game Coverage of Lakeland Affiliate

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • The ideal candidate must be at least a college Junior, Senior, recent graduate, or post-graduate/Masters Level student of a CAATE Certified College Athletic Training Program
  • If the candidate is presently a certified athletic trainer as governed by the Board of Certification (BOC), the candidate must be able to obtain Licensure in the State of Florida
  • The ideal candidate must  have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • The ideal candidate must be currently certified in CPR and AED use.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills.
  • The ideal candidate must have excellent organizational skills.
  • The ideal candidate must be available full-time.
  • The ideal candidate must be willing to work longs hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
  • The ideal candidate must be available to relocate to Lakeland, FL for the duration of the internship. Housing/ meals made available.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred

Working Conditions:

  • Nights, weekends and holidays required.
  • Office and outdoors environment.
  • Extended hours will be required.
