Purpose
The Associate Technical Course Developer will use multimedia technology and authoring tools to design, develop and deliver training materials and trainings. These will facilitate internal learners in acquiring knowledge, skills and competencies in an effective and appealing manner.
Key Responsibilities
Work with subject matter experts and identify target audience’s training needs
Develop objectives and ensure content matches those objectives
Revise and rewrite content to shape it for learning needs
Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer
Create material/media to support learning (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games etc.)
Determine the criteria used to judge learner’s performance and develop assessment instruments
Adapt instructional materials created for one format (e.g., instructor led) to other formats such as e-learning
Conduct instructional research and analysis on learners and contexts
Apply tested instructional design theories, practice, and methods
Present information using a variety of instructional techniques and formats such as role playing, simulations, team exercises, group discussions, videos, and lectures
Prepares for and delivers instructor-led training using diverse modalities (face-to-face, virtual, hybrid) on variety of topics (business processes, systems, new capabilities) to all levels of internal learners.
Minimum Requirement
Typically, minimum 0-2 years of relevant experience. May have degree or equivalent.
Education
Bachelor’s degree with a concentration on adult education, instructional, industrial, or graphic design and 1-2 years of relevant experience.
Critical Skills
1 year of experience in training and development preferred
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Experience in Articulate 360, Illustrator a plus
Strong quality orientation including the ability to focus on details and adhere to quality standards
Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to prioritize, work under pressure, and meet deadlines and schedules
Customer Service Orientation
Strong problem solver with the ability to present issues clearly and provide answers
Highly motivated and committed to excellence with a positive attitude
Strong communication skills both verbal and written

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations.
