Job Overview
The Associate University Registrar position is responsible for ensuring quality service to faculty, students and alumni through timely and accurate supervision of the production, maintenance, and management of all enrollment activities of Georgetown University undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students including non-degree, and special student groups such as Consortium, Senior Citizen Auditors, Non-Credit certificate and Exchange Students in the interpretation and implementation of university academic policies and accepted guidelines of professional practice and government regulations.
The position manages all staff and responsibilities defined under the Academic and Student Records unit in the University Registrar's Office. This unit is responsible for the records imaging system, grading, maintenance of academic records, graduation degrees and rank, and provides transcript and certification services. This position works closely with the University Registrar, Deputy Registrar, Director of Student Systems, Associate and Assistant University Registrars, Associate and Assistant Deans, and other administrative staff of the schools and departments.
Work Interactions
The Associate University Registrar reports directly to the Associate Vice President and University Registrar. The Associate University Registrar is the primary point of contact for day to day in-person, self service, online and remote our services at the Student Services Center on Main and Capitol Campuses. This position coordinates and counsels each school regarding academic records and enrollment processes. In particular, this position is responsible for training and oversight of distributed maintenance of academic records in the various schools. This position also directly supervises and provides guidance and support to the Assistant Registrar for Records as Consortium Coordinator, athletics compliance, the Assistant Registrar for Veterans Affairs, Benefits and Certifications as the certifying official for all military benefits, athletic compliance and enrollment reporting to the Clearinghouse, and supervisor for transcripts
Requirements and Qualifications
A Master’s degree and 6-8+ years of experience in higher education are required.
A Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of progressive leadership experience in a large multifaceted university setting may substitute as equivalent for a master’s degree
Experience managing high visibility projects with multiple internal and external constituents required
Must be able to manage and prioritize projects with attention to detail, excellent communication with high-level constituents, and management of complex issues with technical and functional teams as needed
Must be able to lead effectively and work independently while maintaining close contact and communication with the University Registrar and stakeholders
Preferred experience with Banner, Degree Works, EMS, Cognos, MS Office Suite, Google AppExtensions
Excellent organization skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects and organizational needs
Proven ability to work with and act as translator among multiple constituents from the most senior level to technical staff
Ability to work as a member of a team within the Office of the Registrar while maintaining independent responsibility for a variety of projects and initiatives
Project management methodology knowledge is desired
Knowledge of Ellucian Banner student Information system and general higher education regulations
Must be able to work well under pressure
Skilled and successful at prioritizing work and multi-tasking to meet competing deadlines
Strong time management skills are a must
Must be a detail oriented creative thinker who can solve issues and collaborate with diverse teams

Pay Range:
The projected salary or hourly pay range for this position which represents the full range of anticipated compensation is:
$66,783.00 - $126,720.23Compensation is determined by a number of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate’s individual qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, as well as the University’s business needs and external factors.
