Job Title: Associate Product Manager

Job Description Summary:

Digital Client and Partner Experience is looking for an experienced Associate Product Manager to assist the Trust & Advisory Capability team in building digital solutions and workflows for the Trust Practice.

Under general supervision (but works independently most of the time) responsible for helping execute the strategy of the product umbrella as outlined by the Capability Lead and Lead Product Manager for the umbrella. Responsible for Product Management Lifecycle activities in partnership with the Product Manager such as helping gather and document requirements, manage demo cadence with subject matter experts and stakeholders, assist coordination with change management for pilots and launches, creating surveys and gathering feed post launch. The Associate Product Manager will also be responsible for performing regular maintenance of product materials, helping manage backlog, maintaining product inventory and key metrics. Support new product introduction by creating the risk analysis.

Major Duties:

1. Support discovery and innovation by creating matrix of end users, scheduling requirement sessions and documenting requirements and needs;

2. Assist in new product planning activities by participating in forecasting and planning, assisting with composing and maintaining BRDs using the Agile method;

3. Display a balanced, cross- functional perspective, liaising with the business to improve efficiency, effectiveness and productivity;

4. Support new product introduction by coordinating with Change Management, Training and Trust Practice (business) on pilots and rollouts, conducting post launch surveys and gathering feedback for future enhancements;

5. Assisting with communications to stakeholders and end users, helping communicate updates and key information;

6. Help organize and manage intake of feedback from Trust Capability landing page, coordinating discussions with team and submitting partner, and managing process from intake to acceptance;

7. Manage permissions requests, as well as other customer service requests from front line partners, ensuring escalation of atypical issues to Product Manager;

8. Track product satisfaction by launching surveys, gathering feedback directly and creating log for potential future improvements

Knowledge:

  • Must have a background in Product Management and Digital Tools and understand Product Management Agile process. Must have good oral and written communication skills, with a focus on client service. Experienced in constructing/overseeing logical and conclusive presentations.

  • Experience with Salesforce and Azure ADO a plus.

  • Understanding or knowledge of Wealth Management products or business areas within an umbrella and an understanding of client needs and how this impacts the product development agenda/roadmap. Experience within Trust/Fiduciary Services a plus.

  • Good communications skills and helping build trust and buy in with end users, as well as building key relationships and influencing partners and leaders across multiple business lines.

  • Organizational skills are required to support the Capability's goals, resources needed, and to assess and develop the skills of staff.

  • Project management experience is advantageous, inclusive of planning, research, analysis, design and governance.

  • Proficient in Microsoft suite of products, with emphasis on Teams, Planner, Lists, Excel and PowerPoint

Experience:

  • A College or University degree and/or relevant proven work experience is required. Related Industry qualification (e.g. ACCA) is required / preferred.

Salary Range:

$80,800 - 133,400 USD

Salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust provides a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits (401k and pension), health and welfare benefits (medical, dental, vision, spending accounts and disability), paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and other voluntary and well-being benefits. Northern Trust also provides a discretionary bonus program that may include an equity component.
