The S&P Global Market Intelligence (SPGMI) CDS Reference Data supports the credit derivatives, bonds, securitized instruments, syndicated loan, and legal entity data needs of the financial markets servicing internal as well as external clients. Our broad range of data is specifically designed to facilitate securities trading, settlement, risk management and back-office functions, including accounting and client reporting.
Position Summary
The successful candidate will play a key part in maintaining the smooth running of the day-to-day operations and working closely with other functions and understanding products that have upstream and downstream linkages for the flagship Fixed Income and Pricing product. On the technical aspect, the candidate will use advanced Excel, Power BI and SQL skills to translate operational requirements into technical solutions and tools.
Duties & accountabilities
Providing exceptional client service by responding to client questions and queries
Identify data quality improvement projects and good design practices
Identification of opportunities to enhance operational efficiency
Basic user acceptance testing for new or enhanced product functionality
Ability to gather data efficiently from various sources for reporting and analysis
Proven ability to utilize data and systems tools available
Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
Proven ability to collaborate to produce results; work well in team situations
Flexibility of hours may be needed at times to meet corporate demands
Business competencies
Education and experience
Master’s degree in Finance (MBA/PGDM)
Good understanding of financial markets preferably Fixed Income and Derivatives Market
Experience in an operational environment
Exposure to process analysis, improvement, and documentation
Experience in using Power BI and SQL
Advanced Excel
Commercial awareness
A strong interest in pursuing a career in finance
It is advantageous but not mandatory that the candidate has a good understanding of fixed income securities like bonds and CDS.
