The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is seeking a Associate Estimating & Pricing Specialist - Product Development Configuration/Studies to join our team in Everett, WA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining parametric cost models and providing rapid, reliable cost estimates across projects and programs. The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical skills, industry knowledge, and experience with statistical and parametric techniques to support early-phase decision-making.
This position will be a part of the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) Product Development Estimating team, a group focused on the next generation of commercial technologies and airplanes. The team has four sub-teams supporting various aspects of the Commercial Product Development (PD) Organization: Financial Modeling, Production System, Config/Trade Studies and Balanced Design. BCA Product Development is complex and fast-paced environment, and all teams will require creative problem-solving and cross-functional partnership to support business priorities.
The Config/Trade Studies team is responsible for configuration/program level estimates of investment and unit cost, as well as supporting detailed trade analysis to mature the product configuration. The team is aligned by customer/‘Integrated Product Team’ (IPT) and each candidate will act as a primary Point of Contact (POC) for Estimating requests from business partners.
The ideal candidate will be a strong critical thinker and creative problem-solver with a passion for learning technical details of the product and production system. You will also be a dynamic communicator and negotiator, able to express and defend financial analysis simply to executive leaders while working under tight deadlines with competing priorities.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop, validate, and maintain parametric cost models and estimating tools to support concept and preliminary design phases
Produce timely, defensible high-level cost estimates using parametric, analogous, and statistical methods
Analyze historical cost and performance data to derive cost drivers and learning curves
Collaborate with engineering, program management, supply chain, and finance to collect data inputs, verify assumptions, and refine models
Perform sensitivity, risk, and uncertainty analysis to quantify cost drivers and present ranges and confidence intervals
Performs analysis and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience successfully embedding with cross-functional partners
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience supporting financial analysis and impact assessments for configuration trade, engineering change and/or technology projects
Experience translating Engineering information into financial models and analysis
