The Biopharmaceuticals Business Unit (BBU) creates and executes meaningful therapeutic area and product strategies that are focused on addressing the unmet needs of patients around the world. The BBU integrates commercial, market access, medical, digital, and corporate functions to drive scientific development and commercial excellence in the core areas of respiratory, cardiovascular, renal and diabetes disease. 

As an Associate Director, Respiratory Biologics in Wilmington, DE, you’ll play a pivotal role in channeling our scientific capabilities to make a positive impact on changing patients’ lives. This role is responsible for working with Brand Leadership and across global and partner collaboration teams to develop, execute and measure aspects of the brand strategy. This role is specifically focused on, but not limited to, Direct-to-Consumer MarketingCampaign development, Omni-channel execution, and Patient Support Program development.  To be successful in this role you will need to be able to implement channel strategies to deliver on the brand’s objectives.

 

What you’ll do 

  • Lead the development and execution of the brand’s Patient Support Program 

  • Partner with Business Insight team to develop customer insight plans, success metrics and analyze performance of programs 

  • Partner with the team on ongoing optimization of consumer messaging by channel and creative to ensure optimal communications and performance 

  • Lead agencies in development of brand creative, messaging and execution 

  • Collaborate with internal and external partners to design and facilitate the brand's promotional plan, ensure consistency with brand strategy and other functional area priorities and lead review process to ensure legal/regulatory compliance and medical accuracy of all marketing materials. 

  • Participate in annual operational planning process by shaping tactical plans and budgets required to achieve the brand's strategic objectives 

  • Work with corporate affairs and advocacy partners to develop patient-centric programs  

  • Manage monthly financial updates with agencies associated with brand marketing activities 

  • Manage regulatory and legal review and approval process for key tactics and promotional assets  

 

Essential for the role: 

  • Bachelor’s  Degree in Business, Marketing or in the sciences 

  • Demonstrated ability to lead without authority 

  • Ability to manage complex projects 

  • Ability to gauge the feasibility, impact and risks of proposed programs 

  • Comfort operating in a highly regulated environment and industry 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 

  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical or healthcare related experience 

  • Field sales, Respiratory or Biologics therapeutic-area experience 

 

Desirable for the role  

  • 2+ years prior agency experience 

  • 2+ years marketing experience 

  • Media planning/buying experience 

  • Prior Respiratory or Biologics area experience 

  • Advanced Degree in Business, Marketing, or Science 

  • Understanding of US healthcare system pricing and reimbursement
