What is the opportunity?
The primary purpose of this role is to provide comprehensive business analysis expertise across front office order and execution management systems and middle office settlements and clearing operations for equities and equity linked products (e.g. Equity Options). The candidate will work as part of cross-functional teams to analyze business requirements, document processes, and facilitate solutions in close coordination with equity trading desks, settlements operations, clearing services, and technology teams. Strong communication, stakeholder management, and analytical skills, along with agile methodology experience are required.
What will you do?
Front Office Trading Systems Analysis: Analyze existing NextGen application suite functionality, gather enhancement requirements, and support migration planning efforts; Collaborate with trading desks to identify performance optimization opportunities and document business requirements for low latency solutions; Partner with Development, QA, and Support teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications for trading systems; Engage with business stakeholders to gather requirements for new features in NextGen OMS, Risk Engine, Consolidator and customizations
Middle Office Operations Analysis: Lead and participate in settlements and clearing services projects of various sizes, serving as primary business analyst contact while providing expertise for successful execution; Research, formulate, propose and implement strategic solutions focusing on post-trade lifecycle process improvements through streamlining, simplification, elimination of redundancies, automation, and standardization ; Analyze settlement, clearing, and reconciliation functions, workflows & systems across Capital Markets asset classes; Document and optimize processes involving Central Counterparty (CCP) and Central Securities Depository (CSD) functions
Cross-Functional Responsibilities: Develop comprehensive understanding of end-to-end trade lifecycle from execution through settlement ; Document UAT strategies and create test cases for both trading and operations systems ; Support fast-moving release cycles through efficient requirements gathering and stakeholder communication across front and middle office functions
Front Office: Proactively identify operational risks/control deficiencies in trading and settlement processes ; Review and comply with Firm Policies applicable to your business activities; Escalate operational risk loss events, control deficiencies and risks to your line manager and relevant risk functions on a timely basis
What do you need to succeed?
Must have:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Engineering, Science, Math or equivalent relevant experience
5+ years of Capital Markets Operations Business Analyst experience
Comprehensive settlements operations experience with deep knowledge of post-trade lifecycle processes
Proven track record analyzing electronic trading applications, order management systems, and risk management systems
Expertise across settlement, clearing, reconciliation functions, workflows & systems
Strong understanding of CCP and CSD functions in capital markets context
Proven ability to manage processes and stakeholders across end-to-end capital markets journeys
Strong analytical and documentation skills with ability to translate complex business requirements
Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, and stakeholder management
