Associate Director Structured Lending

ACT (Amsterdam - Acanthus) Full time

Structured Lending associate director at ING Business Banking (Amsterdam)

Final accountability for complex financing transactions with MidCorporate customers

As Structured Lending associate director at ING MidCorporate, you are both a substantive and commercial expert in complex financing arrangements such as acquisitions and major investment processes. As the deal coordinator, you are responsible for putting together the best deal in line with the needs of MidCorporate customers and prospects. You are also their first port of call in the transaction. You create the best possible credit structure and coordinate this with all parties involved; both within ING with financing departments such as Lease, Commercial Finance and Risk, and with parties external to ING, such as other banks. A new deal team is formed for each transaction, and you are ultimately responsible for steering the process. The relatively short-cycle nature of the transactions creates a lot of dynamism and variety in your job. As the senior team member, you represent ING MidCorporate Structured Lending in the market towards Corporate Finance and Debt Advisors and help shape commercial activities for the Structured Lending network.

Your work environment

As Structured Lending associate director you work in a self-managing team of 16 specialists based at ING’s head office in Amsterdam. With your personal, honest and open approach, you enable the Structured Lending team to help our customer group as well as possible with complex financing needs. Working within our team and ING MidCorporate means working in a culture where accepting final accountability, working together in multidisciplinary teams, trusting your colleagues and putting the team’s interests before your own come first. We provide the best service available and our goal is to always exceed our customers’ expectations.

Development and career opportunities

At ING we realise that we must always have people with your talents in the right place in order to achieve qualitative growth. That’s why we invest in your personal growth and development and offer a wealth of opportunities to fulfil your ambitions. But we also expect you to take the initiative here:  you always stay up to date with current developments within your field, are willing to consider yourself critically to keep improving and come up with fresh ideas in response to the challenges we face within our team and ING MidCorporate

Your talent

You use your enthusiasm, rock-solid analytical and commercial skills, creativity and extensive knowledge of financial issues to make a difference. In addition, your strong social skills ensure that you can interact/negotiate directly and rapidly with customers and various parties at different levels to bring transactions to a successful conclusion. Furthermore, you tackle challenges whole-heartedly, are stress-resistant and do not have a 9-to-5 mentality.

Attractive salary and fringe benefits

In this full-time position, you not only receive an excellent salary (depending on your work experience) and 27 days of paid holiday, you also have a 13th month and are entitled to a lease car.
