The Procurement Technology & Insights Associate Director (Systems Controller) serves as a key leader within the Procurement Technology team, providing expertise, oversight, and operational excellence for procurement system governance. This role will manage system configurations, ensure optimal performance, and enforce compliance and security standards. The incumbent will champion technology improvements, support release management, and partner with both technical and business stakeholders to maximize the value of procurement platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
System Configuration & Management: Oversee and manage overall system settings, configurations, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation of all procurement technology platforms.
Technical Support: Provide advanced technical support to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, serving as the subject matter expert and escalation point for system incidents.
Compliance & Security: Own and maintain SOx controls for procurement systems; proactively monitor and address system compliance, security risks, and develop/implement corrective actions as needed.
Systems Analytics: Analyze system performance metrics, user data, and process flows to identify improvement areas, ensure stability, and maximize user adoption.
Continuous Improvement: Recommend, evaluate, and implement technology enhancements to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience in procurement processes.
Release Management: Provide oversight for software release cycles, conducting impact assessments and ensuring a seamless delivery of new functionalities and system upgrades.
Deployment & Expansion Support: Support the rollout of new procurement system deployments and the extension of existing system scopes, including business readiness, communication, and change management.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Business, Supply Chain, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Extensive experience (typically 5+ years) in procurement technology systems management or related roles.
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, system controls (SOx), and release management best practices.
Demonstrated experience supporting complex, global technology platforms and troubleshooting technical issues.
Proven analytical and data interpretation skills.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership capabilities.
Experience with major procurement or ERP platforms (Coupa)
Process improvement certification (e.g., Lean Six Sigma)
Familiarity with ITIL or similar service management frameworks
Fluent in English.
Mandarin or Japanese language is preferred.
