Pratt & Whitney’s Aftermarket Operations organization has an opportunity for an Associate Director, Strategic Materials & Capability Development. This position provides strategic and cross-functional leadership to advance material capability, operational readiness, and industrial integration across the Singapore Operations network. The role focuses on developing and executing long-term strategies that enhance material flow efficiency, supply resilience, and network effectiveness, enabling sustainable growth and delivery excellence.
With emphasis on industrial readiness, materials integration, and data-driven decision-making, this role drives initiatives that support key programs such as the Fan Drive Gear System (FDGS) industrial start-up, PW4000 & F117 Fan Exit Guide Vane (FEGV) product transfer, and Critical Part List (CPL) material readiness, while contributing to the planning and development of future material readiness capabilities that will enhance regional performance.
What You will Do
Provide strategic and programmatic oversight for the FDGS industrial start-up, ensuring delivery to cost, schedule, and quality objectives.
Serve as the primary liaison with East Hartford and global program teams to align on readiness milestones, material flow, and risk mitigation.
Lead the PW4000 and F117 FEGV product transfer, overseeing qualification, process development, tooling readiness, and production ramp-up.
Drive and streamline tactical communication across cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, speed in decision-making, and visibility to key stakeholders.
Own accountability for eCAR budget adherence, capital investment tracking, and schedule realization.
Lead the materials management and integration strategy supporting FDGS, CPL, and related readiness initiatives, ensuring part availability, logistics optimization, and flow synchronization.
Develop data-driven frameworks to monitor material health, turnaround time, and cost performance across the value stream.
Drive material capability enhancement projects that improve visibility, resilience, and end-to-end traceability across repair operations.
Support the planning and development of future material readiness capabilities to strengthen inspection, recovery, and logistics performance across the network.
Implement Lean and digital process enhancements to improve operational visibility, reduce turnaround times, and optimize material flow.
Provide structured program governance, leadership reporting, and proactive risk management.
Partner with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, and Finance to drive readiness, compliance, and performance improvement.
Leverage, assess, and deploy next-generation technologies and systems — including MRO360 elements — to deliver world-class material management solutions in support of Singapore FDGS operations.
Advanced Degree and 10+ years of Operations, Manufacturing, Aerospace, or Aftermarket experience OR a bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant industry experience.
Senior leadership P&L experience with including cost, budget, and project management responsibilities.
Experience leading self-directed work teams across multiple functional disciplines.
Experience in driving strategic transformative projects and continuous improvement initiatives with Six Sigma/Lean concepts.
Experienced in communicating with various internal and external stakeholders internationally.
