Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and evolve architecture for the Statistical Compute Environment aligned to enterprise standards

  • Integrate scientific software and modeling tools for pharmacometrics and quantitative sciences

  • Optimize HPC workloads for scalability, extensibility, performance, and business value

  • Ensure solution designs trace to functional and non‑functional requirements

  • Administer Unix/Linux systems and batch queue management in HPC environments

  • Manage workflow orchestration tools such as Snakemake, Nextflow, and Cromwell

  • Operate workload schedulers including SLURM and IBM Spectrum LSF

  • Monitor HPC health and utilization using observability tools like Grafana

  • Collaborate with security to harden environments and ensure regulatory compliance

  • Lead multi‑cloud integrations and support continuous integration and deployment

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or information technology

  • Experience working in a regulated pharmaceutical information technology environment

  • Proven architecture and design experience for high‑performance computing environments

  • Strong proficiency with Unix and Linux administration and advanced scripting

  • Hands‑on experience with scientific software and modeling tools used in pharmacometrics

  • Proficiency with workload schedulers such as SLURM and IBM Spectrum LSF

  • Experience implementing workflow orchestration tools such as Nextflow, Cromwell, and Snakemake

  • Demonstrated experience with cloud architecture, containerization, and Elastic Kubernetes Services.
