The Associate Director Financial Reporting & Analysis for CSL Corporate is responsible for leading the global performance reporting and analysis for the CSL Group. The role will lead the Senior Analyst, Reporting and Analysis with a core mission to provide CSL financial performance reporting and analysis through standardised processes to deliver in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
The team will provide reports, analyses, and insights to the CSL CFO, GLG and CSL Board. Incorporating, interpreting, and summarising inputs from Finance Business Partners across the CSL Enterprise to support high value insights to facilitate robust strategic decision making.
Reporting to the Senior Director FP&A, the role is based in CSL Melbourne and regularly interacts with senior finance leaders around the Group.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Lead the management of the monthly performance reporting for the CSL Group including setting and maintaining the CSL global reporting timelines and monitoring adherence to submission timelines and evaluation of quality of submissions including issues tracking
Driving continuous improvement in the CSL Group Reporting including improving efficiency of the monthly Board report, the development and rollout of monthly KPI trend analysis, balance sheet and cashflow analysis and standard discretionary spend reports
Lead preparation and analysis of global month-end financial reports to the GLG and CSL board. P&L, Cashflow and Balance sheet
Preparation of analysis of business performance against expectations and key drivers to deliver actionable insights.
Build strong relationships with segment and function FP&A COE’s
Deliver continuous improvement of the current planning communications strategy for improved outcomes, through pro-active communication of group reporting plans and timetable to stakeholders on an ongoing basis
Lead the preparation of analysis and information in support for Investor relations each 6 months, supporting half year and year end presentations to the ASX and investor days
Preparation of the Quality of Earnings paper annually for the Board.
Analysis of foreign exchange movements on the CSL Group on a monthly basis and management of the FX AUP with the audit team, as well as various iterations of constant currency data in support of CFO/GLG decision making and ASX reporting (including audit thereof) including annual FX sensitivity analysis based on the CSL Group Budget
Ad-hoc reporting to stakeholders such as the Australian government and the internal requirement for Economic Impact Analysis.
Co-ordination and preparation of the monthly CFO report
Provide support to the Budget and Forecast process through delivery of specific tasks such as overseeing the completion and reviewing the Treasury Report
STI calculation and reconciliation at the half and full year. STI true up calculation, reconciliation and advice for journal posting of the payout true up
Key Skills & Qualifications
A strong educational background and a tertiary degree or diploma, preferably in finance, commerce, or accounting
Member of CPA or CA
15+ years’ experience post degree qualification
Strong organisation and process management skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and is a natural collaborator who can engage with stakeholders at all levels
Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
Strong project management skills
Strong numerical and analytical skills together with an ability to understand and succinctly explain large and complex concepts
Attention to detail

Microsoft Office skills including a strong capability in Excel and PowerPoint
