What is the opportunity?

This role has responsibility to support the Capital Markets UK & Europe outsourcing and third party strategy, collaborating with stakeholders across geographies in the management and reporting of outsourcing and third-party risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and enterprise policies & guidelines.

RBC’s expectation is that from mid-September 2025, all employees and contractors will work in the office with some flexibility to work up to 1 day per week remotely, depending on working arrangements.

What will you do?

  • In collaboration with enterprise subject matter experts (SMEs), Function leads and business owners, support both third party and outsourcing governance in line with regulatory guidance and RBC’s governance policies;

  • Support the implementation of monitoring controls and metrics for outsourced services and third-party arrangements, where applicable;

  • Support business owners in identifying outsourced relationships, risk assessments and compliance of the outsourcing and third-party governance and controls;

  • Ensure the engagement owners are monitoring, reviewing and mitigating outsourcing and third party risk;

  • Support key stakeholders in their outsourcing and third-party strategy;

  • Ensure outsourcing and third-party registers are updated in a timely manner, aligned with regulatory requirements, with the appropriate contract and SLAs in place for each outsourcing arrangement;

  • Support the continued development and maturation of enterprise policies and procedures to incorporate local requirements, and where needed support the development and implementation of local outsourcing and third-party policies and procedures;

  • Escalate material issues and risks to key stakeholders;

  • Develop, publish and present reports relating to outsourced and third-party activities, to key stakeholders and relevant risk committees;

  • Support the compliance standards for contracts and outsourcing relationships in collaboration with Data Privacy, Risk Management, Legal, Compliance Information Security, Business Continuity Management and Vendor Management.

  • Act as SME for key stakeholders, including Internal and External Audit and Regulators;

  • Project Management with different key stakeholders to remediate any gap and/or issue identified.

What do you need to succeed?

Must-have

  • University degree in business, finance or other related fields or similar/equivalent.

  • Strong relevant background preferably in Third Party Risk Management, Outsourcing Management, Operational Risk, or Regulatory Compliance.

  • Experience with Outsourcing regulatory requirements (EBA Guidelines, PRA Supervisory Statement SS2/21, FCA), or strong understanding of related risk management principles.

  • Familiarity with regulatory landscape facing global banks. Ideally, experience in banking industry, consulting or regulator institutions.

  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have

  • Knowledge of Outsourcing regulatory requirements in different jurisdictions (AT9 MaRisk, DORA; ACPR), or strong understanding of related risk management principles.

  • Experience dealing with Internal and External Audits.
