The Digital Technology Program Management Office is currently searching for an Associate Director, PMO Leader.  The ideal candidate will effectively lead a group of Project Managers in the planning and implementation of digital technology projects to enable the organization to succeed and meet strategic deliverables.  This individual will be responsible to develop, modify, oversee, and coordinate the operational aspects of ongoing projects. Develop mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, service owners, and customer/end user. Assesses project issues and develop resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer/end user satisfaction goals and objectives.

What YOU will do:

  • Develop operational objectives and long-range goals of the department.

  • Responsible for workforce planning and AOP responsibilities to ensure the efficient operation of the function.

  • Oversee staffing, development, performance management/evaluation and employee relations.

  • Accountable for the execution of the portfolio of the projects to achieving business objectives, schedule and financial commitments.

  • Engage technical and business resources needed for achieving objectives; able to work in a matrix environment.

  • Responsible for negotiating with all levels of the organization.

  • Acts as a role model for all RTX sponsored initiatives (e.g., health safety and CORE).

  • Acts as a liaison between project management and digital technology, planning, project team, and line management.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Typically requires University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience.

  • Exemplary core project management skills and demonstrated experience with agile frameworks.

  • Proven project planning and leadership skills including the ability to quickly earn the trust of sponsors and stakeholders, motivate teams, manage scope, financial management, and set approach.

  • Ability to navigate a matrixed organization using solid influencing skills

  • Sound business results orientation; ability to make decisions with limited information.

  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills applying innovation and creativity.

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience as Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Product Owner, Release Train Engineer and/or Waterfall project management.

  • Experience using formal project management methodologies (i.e. IPDS, MS Project, PPMC).

  • Experience in Change Management, Implementation Management, Readiness Management, End User Experience.

  • Experience leading large, complex enterprise system projects is highly desired.

The salary range for this role is 147,000 USD - 295,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
