Job Title: Assistant Vice President – Client Reporting

Function: Investment Operations

Sub Function: Investment Reporting Services

Location: Mumbai

Shift: UK hours

Job Purpose

To lead the strategic evolution of the client reporting function by aligning reporting capabilities with global business objectives, regulatory change, and client expectations. This role drives transformation, builds future-state operating models, and ensures reporting is a source of insight, value, and competitive advantage.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the strategic roadmap for client reporting, including digital transformation and automation.

  • Lead global initiatives to standardize, scale, and modernize reporting capabilities.

  • Build and lead a high-performing leadership bench and talent pipeline.

  • Own the control framework and ensure audit readiness, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.

  • Partner with senior stakeholders across functions to co-create reporting solutions and influence enterprise strategy.

  • Use analytics and MIS to drive insights, performance tracking, and decision-making.

  • Represent the reporting function in cross-functional forums, transformation programs, and client onboarding discussions.

  • Continuously assess industry trends and client needs to evolve the reporting model.

  • Champion a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence across the reporting organization.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Deep expertise in investment products, reporting platforms, and data ecosystems.

  • Proven leadership in reporting transformation, automation, and regulatory change management.

  • Strong command of reporting tools (Excel, Power BI, Tableau), scripting (VBA, Python), and data platforms (Bloomberg, FactSet, Eagle, Aladdin).

  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate vision into scalable execution.

  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills across global teams.

  • Experience in building and leading diverse, high-performing teams.

  • Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving capabilities.

  • High integrity, accountability, and commitment to governance and compliance

Experience & Qualifications

  • 10–14 years of progressive experience in asset management or investment reporting.

  • At least 5-7 years in leadership roles within client reporting.

  • Demonstrated success in leading reporting teams and transformation programs.

  • Experience in managing regulatory reporting, client onboarding, and enterprise-level initiatives.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or related fields.

  • Certifications like CFA, FRM, or IOC preferred.
