The LSU School of Architecture seeks applicants for two full-time, nine-month, tenure-track positions at the rank of Assistant Professor with the following expertise:
1. Architectural History and Theory
2. Design and Technology
The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of research in either of the above two areas of expertise and is expected to teach design studios, in addition to lecture and seminar courses for graduate and undergraduate students. The candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues within LSU in general and the College of Art and Design in particular through research, teaching, program development, and governance.

Context
The LSU School of Architecture offers two professional, nationally accredited, degrees: the Bachelor of Architecture and Master of Architecture as well as a forthcoming graduate research degree in Architecture. Architecture faculty also participate in interdisciplinary college wide degrees: Doctor of Design in Cultural Preservation and the BA in Art and Design. The College of Art & Design is a vibrant interdisciplinary unit composed of schools of Art, Architecture, Interior Design, and Landscape Architecture. The LSU Coastal Ecosystem Design Studio (CEDS) and the Fabrication Lab add a growing multidisciplinary dimension to our degree programs. LSU is dedicated to the development of a collaborative, globally engaged learning environment that prioritizes innovative, effective, and culturally creative practices and leadership skills.
