The Opportunity
The Applied Aviation Sciences Department of the College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (ERAU) in Daytona Beach, FL invites applications for non-tenure track Instructor of Air Traffic Management. This role requires a candidate with extensive operational air traffic control experience directly supporting our B.S. in Air Traffic Management. The position involves teaching a variety of air traffic control courses, ranging from an introductory air traffic basics to specialized terminal radar, enroute radar/non-radar, or VFR control tower courses (depending on experience) using state-of-the-art simulation equipment. Basic teaching requirements are 12 undergraduate credit hours (four courses) per semester.
The position and contract are expected to begin in August 2026.

Required Education and Qualifications:
Masters degree and two years of relevant FAA or US Military Air Traffic Control Experience, and an FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist Certification (preferred). Consideration of candidates with lower degrees will be given based on the degree held and years of related experience.
