The School of Social Sciences (SSS) is part of NTU Singapore’s College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences (CoHASS), whose students and scholars actively collaborate in fields ranging from philosophy to design, to understand how people in Asia and beyond act in and make sense of the world. CoHASS is Asia’ s leading centre for innovative, interdisciplinary Humanities, Arts and Social Science research.
The Economics Programme under the School of Social Sciences (SSS) consists of 29 full-time faculty members and offers degrees at the undergraduate, MSc, and PhD levels. The Programme has established recognised strengths in applied economics and behavioural economics, alongside core areas of econometrics, macroeconomics, and development. Faculty members regularly publish in leading international journals, engage in interdisciplinary collaborations, and contribute to policy debates in Singapore and beyond. NTU Economics hosted the 2023 Asian Meeting of the Econometric Society, the primary Asian meeting selected by the Asian Regional Standing Committee of the Econometric Society.
Tenure-track Assistant Professor in Economics of Health and Aging
The School of Social Sciences at NTU has one opening for an Assistant Professor (tenure-track) position in Economics of Health and Aging. Strong candidates in this field will be considered.
Selection will be based on evidence of potential for high-quality research and teaching. Relevant post-doctoral experience will be given consideration. Candidates should possess or expect to obtain a PhD degree by August 2026.
The successful candidate is expected to teach and develop courses at both undergraduate and graduate levels, including General Education courses, as well as supervise graduate students and undergraduate projects.

Emoluments
The salary is competitive and will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers a comprehensive fringe benefit package.
