What You’ll Do

The Assistant Director of People & Culture (Human Resources) works closely alongside the Director of People & Culture to oversee the day-to-day People & Culture operations for Four Seasons Resort O‘ahu at Ko Olina.

This leadership role has direct involvement in benefits administration, employee relations, payroll, HR audits, recruitment and retention, employee communications, career development, wage & hour compliance, learning and development, workers’ compensation, and legal matters related to hotel employees.

We are looking for individuals who are strategic, have strong business acumen, good communication and interpersonal skills and are able to evidence professionalism and adaptability.

Previous experience in a similar role within a luxury hospitality organization is required.

Degree in a Human Resources or Hospitality Program (4 Year Degree) is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee administration of employee benefits and ensure compliance with wage & hour regulations

  • Support recruitment, hiring, and retention strategies

  • Manage employee relations and foster a positive workplace culture

  • Lead labor relations, internal reviews, and investigations

  • Oversee employee communications and career development initiatives

  • Handle workers’ compensation and employee-related legal matters

  • Plan, organize, and participate in employee engagement and recognition programs

  • Collaborate with leadership to align People & Culture strategies with business goals

What You Bring

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Human Resources

  • Minimum 2 years of HR leadership experience (hotel or resort highly preferred)

  • Minimum 2 years of experience managing a team

  • College degree preferred

  • Knowledge of Local, State and Federal Laws pertaining to Human Resources.

  • Flexible schedule, may be required to work weekends, holidays, and during various hours of operations

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with professionalism, adaptability, and discretion

  • Must possess legal work authorization in the United States (Unless currently in a managerial position at another Four Seasons location, in which case an L-1 Visa sponsorship may apply)
