The Job:

As an Assistant Channel Manager, Licensed Products, you’ll be part of our North America Commercial team working as a hybrid/virtual employee. You will work collaboratively with the Core Stanley Black & Decker team members (Sales, Channel Marketing, and Broader Licensing Team) and the SBD Licensing Partners to drive profitable licensing sales and brand-enhancing relationships within our distribution channels. You’ll get to:

  • Work with the current Licensing Channel Managers to support the needs of the Licensing team as you learn the Customers, the Partners, and the internal business model.
  • Assist our core SBD sales teams for education, support and communication on the relevant licensing product offerings and supporting information.
  • Provide customer level insights and sales team connectivity for SBD Brand Licensing Managers as they are working to develop plans to expand the licensing partnership network and deliver new Licensing products through our Partners.
  • Support sales teams by establishing appropriate and routine product reviews to ensure strong alignment between our core Sales Team and Licensing Partners and portfolio.
  • Support our Licensing Partners as needed during the line review process and other key customer meetings to increase our product listings and sales.
  • Support US Licensing business in a number of ways, including communicating SBD’s marketing efforts with Partners, ensuring positive representation at meetings and trade shows, and capitalizing on various joints sales opportunities throughout the year.
  • Through internal meetings and collaboration, ensure that Commercial concerns, needs, and growth opportunities are well understood and considered in the portfolio development planning process lead by the Licensing Brand Team.
  • In addition to the above, you will become a subject matter expert for all Commercial aspects pertaining to the placement, product knowledge, and market knowledge of licensed products in the defined channels of distribution.

The Person:

  • 2-4 years of Product, Sales and/or Channel Marketing with a record of demonstrated achievement
  • Experience working with Retailers in the Tools & Hardware Industry strongly preferred
  • Project management experience and skills; strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; conflict management and problem-solving abilities
  • Analytical skills with good understanding of key business and financial metrics such as Sales, Gross Margins, Operating Margins, Inventory Turns, etc.
  • Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required, advanced Excel and Power Point skills needed.
  • Knowledge of SalesForce, SAP, BW, Ariba a plus

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $60,000- $83,000 per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the position offered.
