Assistant Buyer

We are looking for an Assistant Buyer to support the buying process across multiple channels and help shape an exceptional luxury assortment. This role is a 6-month fixed-term contract.


About the Role 


As an Assistant Buyer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Buyer throughout the buying cycle, ensuring smooth operations and driving commercial success. You’ll work across store, online, and airport channels, managing relationships with brands and vendors, and contributing to trend analysis and product selection.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with product selection, quantifying orders, and maintaining accurate product details.
  • Attend buying appointments and help plan assortments based on trends, budgets, and customer demand.
  • Monitor deliveries, resolve shipment issues promptly, and manage in-season trading to optimise stock performance.
  • Prepare agendas and materials for brand meetings, and maintain strong cross-channel brand relationships.
  • Produce weekly trade reports, update floor plans, and support internal teams with product and trend information.


Depending on your role, you may be fully on-site or have a mix of on-site and home working – this is what we refer to as ‘Hybrid’. Our hybrid working policy allows colleagues to work from home for part of the week, with a minimum of three days on-site, depending on business needs.

About You


You will be a proactive, detail-oriented individual with a passion for luxury retail and a strong commercial mindset. Your ability to build relationships, analyse data, and manage multiple priorities will set you apart. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and communicate confidently at all levels.


You will also have:

  • Previous experience in buying, ideally within luxury retail.
  • Strong numeracy and analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, and strong organisational skills.
