Architectural Designer II

About The Role:

Arbor Homes, is seeking an Architectural Designer II to join the Indianapolis team.  This individual will work with the Architecture Drafting Team to produce site specific constructs for new home residential construction.  We are seeking an industry professional with a passion for collaborating, producing 3D prints, working closely with trades, and has an eye for continuous improvement efficiencies.

What Will You Be Doing?

• Complete 3D constructs as assigned from weekly production releases utilizing CAD
• Order and review site survey, energy codes, truss packages, and structural drawings.
• Helps communicate with trades for any and all updates that need to be made and the impact efforts on cost
• Constant understanding of value engineering and a diligent effort controlling cost impacts
• Implement continuous improvement directives to maximize operational efficiencies
• Review CAD files and identifies modifications; as required

What Will You Bring?

• Prefer AS/AA in Architectural Drafting, CAD Design, or related field
• 3-5 years Residential Drafting Experience
• 3-5 years Experience with 3D CAD Design
• Engaging communicator and collaborator
• Understanding of construction, building techniques, and building codes.
• Task management skills and High Ability to Multitask
• Detail oriented, and work effectively and efficiently on deadlines.
