General Summary:
The Applications Administrator, Enterprise Apps, supports the daily administration, configuration, and maintenance of several large-scale enterprise systems within the Technology department. This includes managing Transportation ERP applications such as Trapeze, Transit Master, and INIT, video management systems (VMS), customer relationship management systems (CRM), passenger information display systems (PIDS), police technologies, ITIL frameworks, and operational technologies on rolling stock. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of these systems by managing system updates, troubleshooting issues, and providing technical support to end users. This role collaborates with vendors on software upgrades and bug fixes, works closely with other Technology personnel to ensure smooth operations and delivering excellent customer service. A solid understanding of enterprise systems and attention to detail is essential for success in this role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Administer and support enterprise applications, including Transportation ERP systems (Trapeze, Transit Master, INIT), video management systems (VMS), customer relationship management (CRM), passenger information display systems (PIDS), ITIL frameworks, and operational technologies on rolling stock.
- Collaborate with the managers and stakeholders to ensure enterprise applications meet business needs and align with strategic goals.
- Manage the day-to-day configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of assigned enterprise applications.
- Assist in implementing and upgrading enterprise systems, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
- Provide functional and technical support to end users, resolving issues and answering questions about application use.
- Develop and maintain system documentation, including configuration settings, user manuals, and procedures.
- Coordinate and perform testing for application updates, patches, and new releases, ensuring system reliability and performance.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, data standards, and compliance requirements for all supported applications.
- Work with vendors for day-to-day application maintenance and system integrations.
- Monitor application performance, identifying potential issues and implementing proactive solutions.
- Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution for enterprise applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline workflows and improve system functionality.
- Ensure changes to applications follow established change management processes and documentation standards.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Note: An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or University in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in application analysis, IT system administration, or Enterprise Application support.
- Valid Texas Class A, B, or C driver’s license, no Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) conviction within the last sixty (60) consecutive months, not more than one (1) DWI on driving record, and not more than three (3) convictions of moving violations within the last thirty-six (36) months in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles, or drive in the course and scope of job.
- Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
- Proficiency of PC software applications to include Microsoft Office or other related software applications.
- Proficient problem-solver with the ability to identify hidden issues, apply analytical thinking, and develop practical solutions.
- Must be able to work variable hours, to include emergency response to outages.
- Must be able to perform work from remote locations as needed.
- Must be able to work in an on-call rotation.
- Must maintain all certification(s) required for this position.
- Ability to manage time efficiently, prioritizing critical tasks and maintaining focus on key activities to maximize productivity.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
