The Opportunity:
KBR Defence and Technology Solutions, is a leader in Defence Mission Planning System development and integration. D&TS uniquely couple’s aviation mission planning environments, operational and engineering support, training, agile software development, and systems implementation, enhancing current Defence capabilities while designing the future military Mission Planning Environments.
The Application Packager and Technical Support - MPS will be working on technology for the deployment of secure government systems in support of Defence.
KBR D&TS is currently looking for a highly driven Technician to join an agile network development team working on technology for the deployment of secure systems in support of Defence, the Mobile Mission Planning Environment (M-MPE) required for both current and future Australian Defence Force capabilities.
Application Packager and Technical Support - MPS will apply their skills for the development, integration, and deployment of security accredited ICT systems. As part of a pro-active, hands-on technical team, you will work closely with other technical staff and key client stakeholders to provide IT technical and administration support for the MPS and ICT systems used and supported by KBR, including Mission Planning Systems and software for the Australian Defence Force. Also, lead the Mission Planning Environment (MPE) builds and provide technical advice as required.
Due to the nature of D&TS work, all applicants require a minimum of NV1 Security Clearance (usually only granted to Australian Citizens).
Note: As a Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) is applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
Position Location – Brisbane or Canberra based, with possible infrequent domestic travel.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
Essential:
Defence ICT environments (including Defence Protected Environment (DPE) and Defence Secret Environment (DSE)
Microsoft Windows Imaging
Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating System security
Microsoft Windows Server Administration
Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager – Application definition, deployment and monitoring
Administrative level understanding of Microsoft Windows based Operating Systems – Windows 10 & Windows 11.
Microsoft Office product knowledge and experience
Microsoft based Software Scripting e.g. PowerShell and Batch.
Defence ICT Security Accreditation
Desirable:
Working knowledge of Aviation Mission Planning and knowledge of AC-C2CS environment
MSI Packaging – Creation of and Transforming - Experience with products such as Admin Studio or Advanced Installer
Administrative level knowledge of Enterprise Mobile Device Management software.Administrative level knowledge of iOS operating system and mobile devices.
Experience in software development environments.
Database Administration (and Development) experience using Microsoft SQL Server products.
Software testing, including unit testing.
Administrative level knowledge of hypervisor technologies – e.g. VMWare and Hyper-V.Trellix ePolicy Orchestrator, or similar Enterprise-level security management platforms.
Enterprise-level Recovery and Backup Tools.
Geospatial data – Mapping and Imagery.
