Mohs Surgery Advance Practice Practitioner
MaineGeneral Medical Center and MaineGeneral Mohs Micropgraphic and Dermatologic Surgery department in Augusta, Maine is seeking a part time (.50 FTE), APP to join their team.
Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to the following:
Patient Consultation: Prepare patients for dermatologic procedures, including Mohs - discussing diagnoses, explaining procedures and answering questions, and developing treatment plans.
Procedural Assistance: Assisting the Mohs surgeon during the dermatologic procedures, including post-Mohs reconstruction, and working independently providing non-Mohs procedural care, including excisions.
Post-operative care: Provide post-operative care, which can include wound care and developing post-operative treatment plans.
Team-based approach: Work collaboratively with the supervising surgeon and staff, developing skills in a graduated approach in a tightly coordinated environment.
Mohs micrographic surgery is the most advanced, precise, and effective treatment for skin cancer. It has the highest cure rates and preserves healthy tissue. We are committed to the highest standard of care.
